September review ….

As we began the 2013-2014 season, we decided the TDC website needed a facelift! We hope you like our changes.  Check out our updated schedule, photos, important info pages and more (some sections still a work in progress).

September began with a bang as many classes began to fill up. We were pleased to welcome Miss Stefanie, Miss Elizabeth, Miss Shannon, Mr Brandon and Miss Natasha back for another great year.

Our company program has already participated in 3 community events around Milton including the P.L.Robertson fall fair, Culture days 2013 at the Milton Centre for the Arts and the Hamilton Ticats half time show in Guelph. Our dancers even made it on TSN! Way to go dancers for all your hard work.

Senior company member Paige attend the jump workshop in Toronto and was awarded a jazz/ lyrical/ contemporary scholarship. Congratulations Paige!

That was only the beginning to a great year ahead! Way to go TDC staff, parents and dancers!

October updates ….

October proved to be just as busy at TDC with many new faces joining us and company choreography starting.

We held our first dance education day which talked about the history of ballet and Pointe  shoes, how to sew ballet shoes and included watching ballet dance on film.

Miss Ashley, Miss Kelly and Miss Elizabeth presented 2 workshops for the dance stream students at Bishop Reding High School, discussing post secondary dance options and the history of Modern Dance.

Two senior company members, Sarah and Daniela attend the ASH convention in Toronto. Congratulations to Daniela who won a scholarship for the finals this summer.

We hosted the momstown Milton Halloween party which was a blast! Thanks momstown and Sam for a great morning!

Upcoming events …

We are pleased to be participating in the Milton Santa Claus Parade  again this year on November 17th at 1 pm. Rehearsals are now underway. Get your purple ready! It’s going to be a great day.

We will also be dancing at the Milton Stags home opener on November 24th at Bishop Reding high school. Good luck dancers!
